x30/KA100 carb needle note:
Something that is not very well telegraphed in regards to the X30 and KA carbs is that the high speed and low speed needles, despite looking identical, are indeed different (the Swift carb uses the same needle for both high and low). The high speed needle has a shorter taper on the tip. It's a very subtle difference, and easily overlooked when you are rebuilding your carb. I suspect there are a lot of engines being run out there with their carb needles swapped (hence this note). Below is a picture from the X30 fiche (the KA uses identical needles) that illustrates the difference. I've added a note to highlight the taper.
