rotax miNI max evo MY20

For 2020, Rotax has made a number of improvements to the Mini Max class. These changes make the engine easier to tune, easier to fit on the kart, and ease the transition from Micro to Mini. The changes are as follows:

New ECU - much broader power curve, gear selection is easier and less critical

Exhaust - will now use the smaller Micro pipe with a Mini-specific perforated tube. This pipe is much easier to fit on a cadet chassis.

Radiator - will now use smaller Micro radiator, much easier to fit on the cadet chassis

Carb restrictor - reduces the flow through the carb and vastly improves driveability and throttle response.

Exhaust header - new 22mm header.

Reduced squish - squish is now reduced to 1.2mm (from 2.4). This, combined with the new ECU and pipe, result in similar performance to pre-2020 Mini Max spec.

FUEL / OIL RATIO: 44:1 (2.9 OZ / GALLON) OR (22.7 ML / L)

PIN HEIGHT: PIN 4

FLOAT HEIGHT: NUETRAL (MIDPOINT ON ROTAX FLOAT TOOL)

AIR SCREW: 1.75 TURNS OUT

IDLE SCREW: 4 FULL TURNS OUT (IDLE AROUND 2,500 RPM WHEN ENGINE IS COLD, SHOULD NOT REALLY IDLE WHEN HOT)

OPTIMAL WATER TEMP: 149 F / 65 C

SPARK PLUG: ROTAX GR9DI-8

SPARK PLUG GAP: 1.1 MM

UPGRADE FROM MICRO:

PARTS: 22mm header, Mini exhaust insert, Mini ECU

ENGINE WORK: reset squish to 1.2mm (from 2.4)
